06:28:05 <ADG1089__> I split my xmonad config into multiple modules and used cabal instead of default ghc by using a build file. It now takes lot of time to open after login and xmonad --restart. Any reasons why?
06:28:09 <ADG1089__> It's the same config

06:31:27 <alourie> Solid: after playing a bit with multiple monitors, I found that borders suddenly appear. I cannot figure out the sequence which made it happen, but I can for sure tell I hate Nvidia. And moreover, I hate makers of laptops with both Nvidia and Intel cards
06:31:53 <alourie> so supposedly the graphics driver is to blame

12:42:55 <sszark> I'm trying to replicate SXMO. I personally don't believe it's the most intuitive design for mobile. But it's rather interesting. Especilly if you want a seamless convergence (using only a single DE/WM)

13:21:29 <Solid> Liskni_si: implementing Traversable for Dirs is genius!
13:21:36 <Solid> so thanks for that :)
13:23:03 <dminuoso> What is Dirs?
13:26:25 <Solid> dminuoso: https://github.com/xmonad/xmonad/pull/258
13:26:44 × ADG1089__ quits (~aditya@171.79.107.193) (Quit: Konversation terminated!)
13:29:44 <dminuoso> Err, are we looking at different things? That doesn't look like Traversable
13:31:16 <Solid> It's in one of the review comments
13:32:31 dminuoso doesn
13:32:33 dminuoso doesn't see it
13:33:23 <Solid> https://github.com/xmonad/xmonad/pull/258#discussion_r553298035
13:33:25 <Solid> this one
13:34:11 <dminuoso> Ah, I guess you meant something else then
13:34:39 <dminuoso> @kind Traversable
13:34:41 <lambdabot> (* -> *) -> Constraint
13:35:52 <Solid> now I'm not sure what you mean ;)
13:36:04 <Solid> obviously you'd need to make it `Dirs a = ...' yes
13:36:08 <Solid> but that's not a problem
13:44:23 <Liskni_si> Solid: deriving :-)
13:44:51 <Liskni_si> (I'd post the patch/commit but I didn't bother to do the Dirs -> Dirs a thing outside of X.Core
13:44:53 <Liskni_si> )
13:45:32 <Solid> that's fine, I already have a working implementation
13:45:47 <Solid> although I don't think you can derive Applicative, as it's ambiguous
13:46:12 <Solid> actually maybe there's a pragma for that
13:46:42 × alourie quits (31bcffba@49.188.255.186) (Remote host closed the connection)
13:46:42 <Liskni_si> you don't need that I think
13:46:55 <Liskni_si> X.Core compiles fine with deriving Functor, Foldable, Traversable
13:47:11 <Solid> Oh right Traversable doesn't have an Applicative, but a Functor constraint
13:47:13 <Liskni_si> and there's a PR that adds that for another data type that we might want to merge :-)
13:47:15 <Solid> yay
13:47:31 <Liskni_si> (although the custom impl is useful in the case of that PR)
13:47:35 <Liskni_si> brb lunch

19:11:44 <geekosaur> there's no shorthand for that because that's not how numbers are normally enumerated
19:12:19 <fizzie> [1..9] ++ [0] is probably fair enough, it just likely needs some ()s around it.
