14:31:09 <Xioulious> i do notice that if the workspaces on both screens are empty it sticks with one of the workspaces, focus doesnt change when moving the mouse to the other screen , is this a known thing or should that be working?

16:06:25 <liskin> the problem is that xmonad doesn't get (by its own choice) events for every mouse move, but only when the pointer goes from one window to another
16:06:37 <liskin> so if you have an xmobar between the screens it might work
16:07:03 <liskin> there may be other dummy windows that sort of make it work
16:07:51 <liskin> but in general it doesn't, because nothing tells us the mouse moved (you don't want a lightweight window manager to consume cpu on every mouse move, do you?)

21:11:39 <geekosaur> you have to use keys without modifiers in there, the only modifiers that can be accepted are the ones specified before it. there's actually a keymap checker you can hook into the startupHook that will warn you if you have any such bindings
