00:38:38 <[Leary]> liskin: Link? I'm not seeing any new blog posts.
00:45:42 <pl> geekosaur: well, not like it's workable due to nature of Wayland...

07:55:19 <Solid> liskin: thanks! I certainly don't know what my future plans are, so I conveniently left these out for the moment :)
07:56:15 <Solid> Actually… one thing I've always wanted to do was to redo the prompt from scratch (the internals perhaps in the style of https://github.com/xmonad/xmonad-contrib/issues/610 but also the X11 side)
07:57:02 <Solid> but I'm not sure if people are excited about possible breaking changes so… :)
07:57:22 <Solid> (and yes, promising anything Wayland would be unresponsible, imo, unless someone actually dedicates themselves to it)
07:57:46 <Solid> [Leary]: currently a PR, not published yet: https://github.com/xmonad/xmonad-web/pull/79
07:57:51 <Solid> (hence, feedback very welcome)
08:38:34 <liskin> Oh, this ghcup cancer. :-( I want to go back to a world where Haskell is maintained in distros. :-/
08:45:19 <Solid> tbh, I've always just installed stack + GHC anyways
08:45:36 <Solid> whether I do that with ghcup or with the distros package manager…
08:47:13 <liskin> I've been using stack with --system-ghc. Back in my day Debian's GHC build was the only way to get Haskell for ARM and compile stuff for the N900. :-)
08:47:34 <liskin> Not that I actually needed any of the ARM stuff, but it was a cool party trick.
09:30:26 thyriaen joins (~thyriaen@2a01:aea0:dd4:5328:6245:cbff:fe9f:48b1)
09:31:15 <thyriaen> is it possible to have a threepane layout which is a twopane layout when only 2 windows are open ?
09:33:08 <fizzie> With https://hackage.haskell.org/package/xmonad-contrib-0.17.1/docs/XMonad-Layout-IfMax.html maybe.
09:33:24 <fizzie> "Provides IfMax layout, which will run one layout if there are maximum N windows on workspace, and another layout, when number of windows is greater than N."
09:36:40 <thyriaen> fizzie, thanks

16:34:03 <jabuxas> ive made a post on reddit a while back on a issue ive had with xmonad for a long time, but i dont think it received any attention (https://www.reddit.com/r/xmonad/comments/10pxejj/guild_wars_2_launcher_makes_xmonad_unresponsive/)
16:34:04 <jabuxas> im coming back to it because i was trying to install overwatch 2 which uses the battle-net launcher, and the same thing happens.
16:34:06 <jabuxas> my config is still the same as in the post, and it shouldnt have anything wrong with it, i wonder if anyone ever experienced it here?
