00:17:25 × tv quits (~tv@user/tv) (Ping timeout: 245 seconds)
00:41:45 L29Ah joins (~L29Ah@wikipedia/L29Ah)
00:44:02 <L29Ah> so, i have xmonad and xmonad-contrib installed system-wide by the system package manager; what would be the best way to bisect xmonad-contrib? ask cabal-install repeatedly to install from the bisected tree, and then remove it from ~/.cabal in the end?
00:44:02 <L29Ah> would that overshadow the system-wide one, or should i uninstall it temporarily?
00:51:11 kayvan joins (~user@52-119-115-185.PUBLIC.monkeybrains.net)
00:54:51 <geekosaur> I would uninstall it, since cabal won't know about it and will install its own anyway
01:07:30 × kayvan quits (~user@52-119-115-185.PUBLIC.monkeybrains.net) (Remote host closed the connection)
02:04:18 <haskellbridge> <yoggurt> a nix flake setup could really help you here I think
02:31:47 ft_ joins (~ft@p508db3bc.dip0.t-ipconnect.de)
02:33:35 × ft quits (~ft@p508db3bc.dip0.t-ipconnect.de) (Ping timeout: 256 seconds)
02:33:37 ft_ is now known as ft

07:51:58 mc47 joins (~mc47@xmonad/TheMC47)
07:55:59 <haskellbridge> <Solid> Setting that up would probably take much longer than the actual bisect using cabal :)
07:56:22 <haskellbridge> <Solid> (I would temporarily uninstall as well)
08:03:22 × alp_ quits (~alp@2001:861:e3d6:8f80:47b6:3219:584d:839) (Ping timeout: 246 seconds)

08:15:58 momo- joins (~bewersdor@business-90-187-254-9.pool2.vodafone-ip.de)
08:17:19 <momo-> hi at work I am using xmonad and want to use it with systemsettings5 of kde, but it does not preserve the values I set in network connections after closing the network pane
08:23:28 × momo- quits (~bewersdor@business-90-187-254-9.pool2.vodafone-ip.de) (Quit: Lost terminal)
08:31:40 <Solid> this sounds like a systemsettings5 issue, rather than an xmonad one
08:31:48 <Solid> (I reckon some daemon is not running)
