2021-08-29 13:40:47 <Zevv> Hi all; my ultra wide 32:9 arrived today; I made a setup using `layoutScreens 2 (TwoPane 0.5 0.5))` to make it act like two separate monitors, which works quite well. Anyone here using a similar screen, and other tips for making best use of it?
2021-08-29 13:47:04 <liskin> Zevv: you may also want to experiment with xrandr 1.5 monitors, which makes a wide screen look like 2 separate monitors to all apps, not just xmonad
2021-08-29 13:47:30 <Zevv> yeah, I tried that. I run debian unstable with xrandr 1.5.0; it accepts the cmdline arguments but it doesn't seem to do anything for me
