2021-01-07 06:28:05 <ADG1089__> I split my xmonad config into multiple modules and used cabal instead of default ghc by using a build file. It now takes lot of time to open after login and xmonad --restart. Any reasons why?
2021-01-07 06:28:09 <ADG1089__> It's the same config

2021-01-07 06:31:27 <alourie> Solid: after playing a bit with multiple monitors, I found that borders suddenly appear. I cannot figure out the sequence which made it happen, but I can for sure tell I hate Nvidia. And moreover, I hate makers of laptops with both Nvidia and Intel cards
2021-01-07 06:31:53 <alourie> so supposedly the graphics driver is to blame

2021-01-07 12:42:55 <sszark> I'm trying to replicate SXMO. I personally don't believe it's the most intuitive design for mobile. But it's rather interesting. Especilly if you want a seamless convergence (using only a single DE/WM)

2021-01-07 13:21:29 <Solid> Liskni_si: implementing Traversable for Dirs is genius!
2021-01-07 13:21:36 <Solid> so thanks for that :)
2021-01-07 13:23:03 <dminuoso> What is Dirs?

2021-01-07 13:26:44 × ADG1089__ quits (~aditya@171.79.107.193) (Quit: Konversation terminated!)
2021-01-07 13:29:44 <dminuoso> Err, are we looking at different things? That doesn't look like Traversable
2021-01-07 13:31:16 <Solid> It's in one of the review comments
2021-01-07 13:32:31 dminuoso doesn
2021-01-07 13:32:33 dminuoso doesn't see it
2021-01-07 13:33:23 <Solid> https://github.com/xmonad/xmonad/pull/258#discussion_r553298035
2021-01-07 13:33:25 <Solid> this one
2021-01-07 13:34:11 <dminuoso> Ah, I guess you meant something else then
2021-01-07 13:34:39 <dminuoso> @kind Traversable
2021-01-07 13:34:41 <lambdabot> (* -> *) -> Constraint
2021-01-07 13:35:52 <Solid> now I'm not sure what you mean ;)
2021-01-07 13:36:04 <Solid> obviously you'd need to make it `Dirs a = ...' yes
2021-01-07 13:36:08 <Solid> but that's not a problem
2021-01-07 13:44:23 <Liskni_si> Solid: deriving :-)
2021-01-07 13:44:51 <Liskni_si> (I'd post the patch/commit but I didn't bother to do the Dirs -> Dirs a thing outside of X.Core
2021-01-07 13:44:53 <Liskni_si> )
2021-01-07 13:45:32 <Solid> that's fine, I already have a working implementation
2021-01-07 13:45:47 <Solid> although I don't think you can derive Applicative, as it's ambiguous
2021-01-07 13:46:12 <Solid> actually maybe there's a pragma for that
